The cyanotype process is one of the first ways of making a photographic print without the use of a camera or darkroom!
It is well known for creating the signature 'cyan' blue prints used by architects and designers for many years.
Now it is a process harnessed by artists all over the world to create abstract artworks using the power of the sun's UV rays.
In this school you'll be guided step by step through the process of creating your own set of photographic prints from home.
Serving beginners or the more experienced you'll learn to develop your creative eye, tune into your own environment and learn a new set of unique skills not widely taught.
"Rachel was extremely friendly and easy -going. She prepared each session really well providing an overview of techniques, with new inputs each session, a selection of pre-prepared objects and materials, .We had the freedom to all work independently on our own ideas and projects but Rachel was very attentive to our process, providing guidance and recommendations along the way. Thanks for providing this opportunity! "

Hi, I'm Rachel and for the last few years I've worked as an artist using photography and the cyanotype process in my work. I live and work from my studio in England where I trained in both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Creative Practice.
I'd love for you to join me on this course where I'll take you step by step through this fascinating process and help you grow your own creative style, confidence and skills.
At the end of the course you'll have your own set of blueprints unique to you and your own home environment.
I'll look forward to seeing you on the inside!
